Several on-going projects deal with computer systems development. Most are geared toward the human aspects of developing large computer systems. Our work has involved CASE, programmer mental models, and debugging techniques.

System Design Techniques


Co-investigator: Dr. J. Solano

This research examined the accuracy of graphic and textual software design techniques. Both the creation of the design and the modification of the design were tested. Text-based design techniques were more accurate than graphic-based design techniques for creation and modification. A paper from this research program has been presented at the 28th ACM Southeast Regional Conference.
